Just because it's a only game, doesn't mean it isn't stressful or disappointing. Meditating before bed and sending lots of love to the team and fans helped our little guy relax last night. Hope your morning is off to a good start.

West Bend is filled with beautiful and quiet places and parks in which to sit and meditate for a few moments each day. Make it a priority. Put yourself and your frame of mind FIRST! When you do, you will be able to better respond to any demands placed upon you with grace and ease.
Namaste. ![]() I just wanted to post some updates for The Soul Source so everyone can be on the same page. As you may have noticed, I have reduced the number of classes I am teaching because of our homeschooling schedule. The Soul Source still offers yoga classes at sliding community rates throughout the week in a quiet and comfortable setting. However, you may need to attend a class with a different, but very talented and qualified teacher. I know this may be a challenge, but I ask you to do it anyhow and give all of them a try. Be brave and open minded. Remember to seize this opportunity to approach your mat and your life with a beginner's outlook and heart. Have no expectation, but to receive, learn and expand into who you are. Some participants have said, "If you aren't teaching, then I might as well just go to the Y and take a class, because there isn't much difference." I am surprised to hear this, but I believe we all have choices, and going to the Y for a class may be the best choice for you. I will not argue or try to convince you of what is best for you...I barely know what is best for me some days! :) On the other hand, I would like to ask you to try other teachers at The Soul Source (through Pranayama Mamas) and to keep in mind the quote above: "Very often a change of self is needed more than a change of scene." Arthur Christopher Benson. I just know, when I am feeling resistance and anxiety, I need to sit with my feelings and peel back the layers of confusion and emotional mist to see what is triggering the sensation. I often think about the lessons my dad taught us about what to do when you are lost in the woods. He would tell us, "When you realize you are lost, don't keep wandering in circles like an fool. Sit down and wait. Look around and see where you are. Calm yourself down so you can think. Create a shelter for yourself. Call for help and watch for signs that things may be changing around you. Stay where you are unless you are in danger, and most times you are NOT in danger, so just sit tight and be patient." Obviously, there are times when circumstances are different and I NEED to leave, to get away, to protect myself, but many times, I think I run away or around because I believe things will be better if I change the scenery and location of where I am. In reality, these are the opportunities for me to sit down and center myself and see what I can change within before moving forward. I just need to be patient and experiment with where I am. I would like to ask you to do the same. Please experiment with your practice and your willingness to try different instructors. All of the teachers at The Soul Source are at least 200 hour Registered Yoga Teachers through reputable schools, where they learn body alignment, modifications and techniques to help you in establishing and deepening your practice. Some are Reiki Masters, others are Acupuncturists or nurses, but all are dedicated to the practice of Yoga...and not just the asanas or poses, but the other deeper parts of being and living with mindfulness and awareness. Related to these changes, you may have noticed that The Soul Source website now automatically forwards to Pranayama Mamas. Angela Guerra and I have combined our businesses on this www.pranayamamamas.com website so we can more seamlessly partner and build wellness and community in our local neighborhood. We are both committed to working together and offering yoga classes and Community Acupuncture and Reiki Treatments with sliding scale payment options out of The Soul Source so people can afford to come and take care of themselves on a consistent basis. This is our passion and calling--to help others help themselves through different healing and awareness modalities. We look forward to expanding our offerings and services in a way that is honorable and effective for community participants and us. For now, we will still be using the separate Soul Source and Mind and Body Acupuncture FB pages, so check them out and let us know how we can help you. If you are not a FB person, call us at 262-685-7661 or email us by filling out the "Contact Us" form on the Home Page. To close, I want to just thank you for everything. I send so much appreciation to you for coming to The Soul Source and helping to create the resulting expanding and contracting family of participants. We understand that participants come into our lives, move on, maybe come back again and again or never return. This is the ebb and flow of all life. We are grateful to know we are not alone in this endeavor to create a safe space for individuals to "stretch, connect and grow." There are many wonderful centers cropping up in the area to fill this growing need of uniting people, and it warms our hearts to know you and everyone else will have even more access to programs and companions on this journey who encourage you to be still, to listen and to expand into your divine self. We hope to see you at a class, event, workshop or out and about in the community. Until then, be well, be happy and, most importantly, just be. Namaste. |
